I have prepared school students and adult learners for the various EFL examinations. As a language teacher and native speaker, I appreciate the importance of the English language in a worldwide context and work collaborately with my students to give them the widest range of possibilities to extend their learning.

The Role of the Tutor
I believe that a personal tutor can be an asset to all learners. For school students, a tutor can give support and reassurance at all stages and help them gain confidence. For example, many students feel daunted at the prospect of a speaking assessment but, with patience and guidance, a tutor can be invaluable. During tutorials I encourage students to ask me as many questions as they like, however basic they may seem.
A tutor can equally be of help to adults who want to learn a language from scratch, brush up their school French or German or use it while on holiday. I therefore adapt my teaching style to my learners’ needs. The sessions may well be a combination of speaking, reading, listening and some writing with grammar points added wherever relevant. Web sites and power point slides feature frequently in these sessions. I aim to make learning fun whenever possible by using a variety of approaches.
If the thought of an hour-long session seems too much, I am prepared to teach small groups at a fee negotiated beforehand.
